The name isn’t marketing spin — this one genuinely doesn’t stop. Velocity is a 224 shot compound made up of four cakes that arrive already linked together, so it’s one fuse, one light, and just under a minute of solid action.

It opens fast, with machine-gun volleys of gold coconuts and brocades cut through with red, blue, green, purple and orange stars. From there it rolls into rapid gold kamuro, blinking stars, and glittering effects that barely leave a gap in the sky. Just when it feels like it’s winding down, rows of coloured stars burst into crackling flowers, and the whole thing signs off with whistles, titanium flowers and crackle.

What makes it a favourite is the value for the space it needs. At Category F2 with 20mm tubes, it only wants 8 metres of clearance, so you get compound-scale coverage from a standard garden rather than a field. It was voted Best Compound in 2023 and it’s stayed a bestseller since.
