Description
The Beast from the East built a following over several years, and for 2025 Celtic have refreshed it with new colours and effects and shortened the name. Same idea, updated: four substantial cakes pre-fused together so the whole thing runs from a single fuse.
What you get is around two and a half minutes of continuous firing, and it’s paced like a proper display rather than one long barrage. It works through distinct sequences — crackling mines rising to purple and green stars, then a section of matched strobe mines and bursts in red, green, gold and white, then whistling serpents breaking into silver strobe crackle — before the volleys start overlapping and the intensity climbs into the finale. Mixed tube sizes give you different burst heights through it, so the sky has depth rather than everything landing at one level.
With over 3kg of powder and bursts reaching 40 metres, this sits near the top of what’s available to retail. It’s genuinely a full display in one box, and for most people it’s the only item they’ll need.
Practical notes: it’s heavy, so plan for two people to move and position it. It needs 25 metres of clearance from spectators.
Best for: the centrepiece or entire display at Bonfire Night, New Year or a large event.
