Description
Velocity was already one of Vivid’s best sellers. Terminal Velocity is the fanned version, turned up considerably, and if you’ve got the space for it, it’s step up.
The pace is the headline. 164 shots from 25mm tubes in roughly 50 seconds means it never stops, and because it’s fanned rather than straight, the sky fills sideways as well as upwards. It opens with a fan of blue tails breaking into golden brocades and blue stars, then sweeps through red comets into brocades and ruby stars, then purple and orange waves, then yellow into orange and blue. Each section ends with a rapid fanned volley of the same effects before moving on.
The finale earns its name. Fanned brocades throwing out multicoloured stars with a sizzling spider effect behind them, then a central dump-cake volley of huge strobing white peonies with a mine lift underneath. It’s about as big an ending as a single cake can produce.
