Description
Atom Bombs are double-burst Roman candles sold in pairs. Each shot climbs and bursts twice — a star burst followed by a seriously loud report — so a pack gives you a run of concussive double hits rather than a drawn-out effect. There’s a flash of stars with every one, but nobody buys these for the colour.
What they’re really good for is punctuation. Drop a couple into the middle of a display between cakes, or use them to open a show and get everyone’s attention immediately. They’re also a popular addition to a selection box when the box itself is a bit tame — a cheap way to add some proper noise without buying another barrage.
Set a pair up side by side and fire them together for double the impact. At F2 with an 8 metre safety distance, they’ll work in a normal garden.
Be straight with yourself about neighbours before buying these. They are loud, that’s the entire point, and they’re the sort of thing that gets noticed three streets away.
Best for: Bonfire Night and New Year, adding noise to a quiet display, or anyone who misses proper bangers.
