age restrictions
In accordance with UK law, the sale of fireworks and related pyrotechnic products is strictly regulated. By placing an order on this website and in store, you confirm that:
• You are 18 years of age or older to purchase category F2 and F3 fireworks (including rockets, cakes, fountains, and other display items).
• You are 16 years of age or older to purchase category F1 fireworks, such as sparklers and party poppers.
We reserve the right to request proof of age at any point during the transaction process. Acceptable forms of identification include a valid passport, driving licence, or other government-issued photo ID.
To comply with legal obligations and ensure public safety: Age verification may be conducted at checkout or upon delivery. Orders placed by individuals who do not meet the age requirements will be cancelled and may be reported to the relevant authorities. Delivery drivers may refuse to hand over goods if age verification cannot be provided at the time of delivery.
It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that: Products are not purchased on behalf of individuals who do not meet the legal age requirements. Fireworks and sparklers are stored and used safely and legally, in accordance with UK regulations.
We accept no liability for misuse of products or failure to comply with age restrictions once goods have been delivered.
refunds and returns
2.0 Non-Refundable Items
Northeast Fireworks are unable to offer refunds or accept returns for fireworks or pyrotechnic products once they have been dispatched, except in cases of damage or fault. This is due to:
- The inability to verify whether items have been tampered with, altered, or improperly stored, which may compromise safety.
- The hazardous nature of fireworks, which prevents safe resale or redistribution once they have left our premises.
2.1 Faulty or Damaged Goods
If you receive an item that is faulty or damaged, you may be eligible for a full refund or replacement, provided the following conditions are met:
- The item has been used strictly in accordance with the written instructions provided.
- You notify us of the issue within 24 hours of misfire/ fault.
- The item is returned to Northeast Fireworks for inspection, unless we instruct otherwise.
We reserve the right to assess the product before issuing a refund or replacement. If the fault is confirmed to be due to a manufacturing defect or damage incurred prior to delivery, we will process your refund promptly.
2.3 Return Instructions
To initiate a return for a faulty or damaged item:
- Contact our customer service team at info@northeastfireworks.co.uk or by phone on 07774 627031.
- Provide your order number, a description of the issue, and photographic evidence if available.
- Follow the return instructions provided by our team. Do not return items without prior authorisation.
2.4 Exceptions
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Items damaged due to misuse, improper storage, or failure to follow safety instructions.
- Products that have been partially used or disposed of before inspection.
- Any costs incurred for delivery and courier operations.
Payments
Payment to Northeast Fireworks is accepted by cash, credit card, or debit card, and all transactions are processed through secure and encrypted channels to protect customer data. All goods remain the property of Northeast Fireworks until payment is received in full. In cases where payment is rejected or not completed, we reserve the right to recover the goods. From the moment of collection or delivery, the purchaser assumes full responsibility for the security and risk of damage to the goods.

Orders placed with Northeast Fireworks must be collected within 14 days of purchase unless otherwise agreed, if your order has not been collected within 14 days, we reserve the right to issue a full refund and cancel the order. Once the goods have been collected, the purchaser assumes full responsibility for the security and risk of damage to the items. After collection, refunds will not be issued for any reason other than faulty or damaged goods, which must be reported promptly and used in accordance with the provided instructions as per section 1.2 of the refunds and returns section.
delivery
Northeast Fireworks will contact you prior to delivery to confirm a suitable date. If delivery can not be made on the agreed date, a re-delivery will be attempted at an additional cost, covering any expenses Northeast Fireworks may have incurred due to the failed delivery. Cancellation must be made 24 hours prior to the agreed dispatch date to prevent any additional delivery charges.
The recipient of the delivery must be over 18 years of age and may be required to present valid ID upon request by the delivery driver, in the event of the carrier being unable to deliver to an address due to no-one being available to sign for the goods, and a repeat delivery attempt is made, we reserve the right to pass on any additional costs imposed by the carrier, to the customer.
Any damage in transit must be reported to our Customer Services Team at info@northeastfireworks.co.uk within 48 hours of receipt. It is the recipient’s responsibility to ensure the order is satisfactory and meets their requirements before accepting delivery. Once accepted, the right to a refund is forfeited unless the goods are faulty or damaged as per our returns and refund policy.
Delivery charges are based on your postcode. If you live in an area that is not included in our list, please contact us and we will be happy to quote you for delivery.
Northeast Fireworks reserves the right to cancel any delivery it deems necessary with 24 hours of notice, a full refund will be issued in the event of Northeast Fireworks cancelling a delivery, inclusive of the courier costs.

Northeast Fireworks assumes no liability for any damage, injury, or loss caused to third parties, personal belongings, clothing, vehicles, or property resulting from the use of faulty or damaged goods. All products are supplied with clear safety instructions labeled on the goods and on the single product web page, which must be followed precisely to ensure safe handling and use. These guidelines are provided to prevent accidents and minimise risk, and it is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure they are read and understood prior to use. Failure to follow safety instructions may result in serious harm, for which Northeast Fireworks cannot be held responsible.
Product substitution
While our stock reporting system is highly accurate, Northeast Fireworks reserves the right to substitute any unavailable item with a similar or better-performing product of equal or greater value. We will provide advance notice wherever possible, giving you the opportunity to accept or decline the substitution.

Northeast Fireworks may offer promotions from time to time, including discounts, free gifts, or bundle deals, at its sole discretion. These promotions hold no monetary value, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or substituted for other items. Only one promotion may be applied per order unless stated otherwise. Promotional codes must be entered at checkout and cannot be applied retroactively. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or withdraw any promotion at any time without notice. Misuse or fraudulent activity may result in cancellation of the order and exclusion from future offers. Participation in any promotion implies acceptance of these terms.
