Sky Vandal XL is the largest compound firework available to the UK retail market; 632 shots, just under 4kg of powder, and a full five minutes of continuous firing from a single fuse. It’s genuinely a display in a box, and it’s heavy enough that you’ll want two people to carry it.
The pacing is what sets it apart from anything else at this size. Rather than firing flat out and burning through its shot count, Sky Vandal XL is choreographed in sections; vertical volleys give way to V, W and Z firing patterns that sweep colour right across the sky, then back to rapid-fire bursts. Along the way you get multi-coloured brocades, gold palms, glittering stars, red strobes and crackling comets, building to a titanium salute finish.
For anyone putting on an event, it removes all the hassle. No fusing, no running between items, no timing to worry about. One light and you’ve got five minutes of professional-standard display while you stand back and watch it with everyone else.
As an F3, 1.3G firework it needs 25 metres of clearance from spectators, so plan for a field, large garden or open space.
