Description
There’s a bit of history behind this one. Cheeky Cherries by Fireworks International was one of the best-loved garden cakes on the market, and when that company folded, the cherry effect went with it. Brothers built Exploding Cherries to fill the gap, and it’s been a steady seller ever since.
The cherry effect is the whole point: a fat red star that rises and then bursts into crackle, over and over. Gold glittering comet tails carry the shots up, breaking into bright red peonies with blue and green mixed through, and a decent amount of crackle underneath it all. Despite the name it isn’t purely red — there’s more colour in it than people expect.
The practical appeal is that it’s labelled as a garden firework needing only 8 metres, but it fires up to around mature tree height, so you get proper aerial bursts without needing a field. If you do have more room to view it from, it’s worth using.
At under a tenner in most shops it’s one of the better value cakes out there, and it’s the kind of item people add two or three of to an order.
