Description

Delirious is one of those cakes that does far more than its shot count suggests. It fires from a mix of 25mm and 30mm tubes, so you get real variety in burst size, and it keeps changing firing pattern the whole way through rather than just emptying itself straight up.

It opens with huge golden brocades alternating with purple stars and green strobing pearls. From there it moves into a tri-shaped volley of brocades with big white strobing stars, then a straight-fired section with ruby red strobes. The fanned sections are where it really opens up; golden brocades with white strobing pearls, then sizzling willows filled with bright strobing stars. There’s a genuinely unusual moment mid-way where V-fired sizzling comet tails frame a centre of multi-coloured dahlias against a ghost red backdrop, and it’s the bit people remember afterwards. The finale brings it all together with a wall of brocades and strobes.

With around 1,000g of powder behind 83 shots and a 50-second run, it works as a mid-display centrepiece or as your closing item. Single ignition, so one fuse and you’re done.
