Description
Some cakes throw twelve effects at you and hope one lands. This one picks a single idea and does it properly.
Dance with the Devil fires 36 shots of gold brocade crowns, alternating in blocks of six — first accompanied by white glitter, then red, then back again. That’s the whole thing. No colour changes, no crackle, no whistles. What you get instead is a consistent, elegant gold-and-glitter look that builds properly rather than jumping about, and it’s genuinely striking to watch.
The numbers are what make it interesting. It’s a 25mm bore cake reaching 40 metres, which is display-cake height, but it’s rated Category F2 — so it only needs 8 metres of viewing distance. That’s unusual. You’re getting bursts at a height most garden cakes can’t touch, in a garden you can actually fire it from.
At 30 seconds it’s a punchy item rather than a long one, so it works best as an opener or slotted between bigger cakes where you want a moment of something clean.
